Sana’a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted cold to very cold weather across several governorates and highlands, with a possibility of frost formation in limited areas over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center’s weather bulletin indicates that cold to very cold conditions are expected during the night and early morning in the governorates of Sana’a, Dhamar, Amran, Al-Bayda, and Saada. Minimum temperatures in these areas are anticipated to range between 2-5 degrees Celsius, with the potential for frost formation in certain parts.
In addition, the highlands of Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Dhob Shabwah, Hadramout, and the western regions of Marib and Al-Jawf governorates may experience cold weather, with minimum temperatures forecasted between 6-10 degrees Celsius.
The center has issued a warning to citizens, particularly the elderly, children, patients, and those working during the night and early morning in these highlands, to prepare for the cold and very cold weather conditions.
It further advised farmers to implement protective measures to safeguard their crops and plants from potential damage due to frost formation.
