Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has issued a forecast indicating continued scattered thunderstorms across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin highlights the likelihood of moderate to heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms in the governorates of Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, and the Tihama Plain. Additionally, scattered rains with occasional thunder are expected over parts of the highlands in Al-Bayda, Lahj, Abyan, and the western regions of Saada, Amran, and Sana'a.
The center has issued warnings to citizens regarding the potential for flash floods in valleys and ravines, advising against being present in or crossing these areas during and after rainfall. Citizens are also cautioned about thunderstorms, and are advised to avoid proximity to electric poles and tall trees.
Further warnings have been issued about the possibility of rockfalls, mudslides, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes, due to rainfall and fog formation.
