Minister of Health and Yemeni Red Crescent Society Discuss Joint Health Initiatives

Sana’a: Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, met with the Executive Director of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society, Dr. Abdullah Al-Azab, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation in the health sector and coordinate efforts to address the current challenges facing the health sector.



According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was also attended by the Director of the Ministry’s Technical Cooperation Office, Murtada Al-Murtada, and the Director of the Artificial Limbs Center, Ali Al-Awaj. Discussions focused on mechanisms to support the health system and strengthen partnerships in emergency response, particularly regarding combating epidemics, intensifying health awareness programs, and raising the level of preparedness to confront humanitarian crises.



The importance of unifying efforts and exchanging information was emphasized to contribute to a faster response and reduce health risks to citizens. The meeting also addressed ways to coordinate epidemic response operations and enhance technical and logistical capabilities to ensure the sustainability of health services and expand their reach to beneficiaries in various governorates.



The meeting was attended by the National Coordinator for Health and Medical Care, Dr. Majid Al-Sharabi, the National Coordinator for Disaster and Crisis Management, Fares Al-Naqeeb, and the Medical Liaison and Referral Officer, Ayman Rajih.
