Sana’a: The Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, has inaugurated several new departments at the Model Police Hospital in Sana’a, along with the expansion of existing ones.
According to Yemen News Agency, the newly opened departments include the Center for Diseases and Endoscopy of the Digestive System and Bile Ducts, an expansion of the dialysis department with 15 additional devices, and a women’s residence department accommodating 38 beds. The internal medicine department also underwent expansion and restoration.
The Minister highlighted the significance of these projects in enhancing health services, acknowledging the medical staff’s efforts amidst challenges posed by conflict and blockade. The Director General of Projects at the Ministry of Interior mentioned that these expansions are part of broader plans to develop medical services, with further projects expected to open soon.
Brigadier General Dr. Fahd Al-Madoumi, Director of the Hospital, emphasized the critical support from the Ministry of Interior to maintain healthcare services, noting that the new expansions will improve the medical services available to Ministry of Interior members, as well as the families of martyrs and the wounded.
