Minister of Information Reviews Progress of Sana’a Radio’s General Program Sector

Sana’a: Minister of Information Hashem Sharaf al-Din reviewed the progress of work in the General Program Sector at Sana’a Radio. During the session, al-Din engaged with the head of the sector, Abdulrahman al-Humran, and the general managers to assess the performance levels of the radio. The discussion included the implementation of the approved Ramadan programming map and the challenges faced by the sector, as well as potential solutions within the available resources.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting addressed technical difficulties impacting Sana’a Radio, particularly concerning broadcast coverage across various governorates. The Minister emphasized the need for concerted efforts to enhance the radio’s performance and restore its status and unique style, describing it as the voice of all Yemenis listened to by everyone.

The steadfastness of the radio’s leadership and staff was highlighted, with their commitment to countering misinformation and challenges despite limited resources. The Minister also explored the progress of several Ramadan radio programs, including “Basma,” hosted by Ahmed al-Bahri and Ali al-Sayani, and “Al-Asil Newspaper,” presented by Mohammed al-Sharafi, Amani Amer, and Amal Ibrahim.

In a live interview on the “Al-Asil Newspaper” program, Minister Sharaf al-Din commended the implementation of radio activities and the program map, praising the dedication and sincerity of the radio leadership and staff in fulfilling their roles.
