Hajjah: The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Mujahid Ahmed Abdullah, accompanied by Hajjah Governor Hilal Al-Sufi and judicial officials, inspected the progress of work in the governorate’s Court of Appeal, where he reviewed the level of completion of cases, especially criminal cases, and followed up on entering data into the electronic judicial system, praising the completion rate that reached 100% over the past two years.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Minister also visited Hajjah Primary and Criminal Courts and the Governorate’s Public Prosecution. He urged judges and administrators to accelerate the completion of stalled cases and activate the role of oversight and investigation to reduce financial and administrative imbalances.
The visit included the governorate’s central correctional facility, where he reviewed the conditions of prisoners and health services. He stressed the need to expedite the adjudication of cases, especially juvenile cases.
The Minister further visited the Abs, Haradh, and Midi Courts, meeting with the heads of the courts and public prosecutions. They discussed their needs for restoration, equipment, furniture, and technical supplies, and addressed the situation of the Abs Detention Center that was bombed, including the need for solar energy and building annexes for documentation and the real estate registry.
He emphasized the importance of coordination between the courts, security agencies, and public works to reduce real estate encroachments and random construction and to implement judicial rulings. Additionally, the situation of Mastaba and Washha Court was discussed, due to its proximity to the contact areas and the difficulty of accessing it, with the Minister stressing the need to expedite the completion of citizens’ cases despite the challenges.
