Sana'a: The Ministry of Education and Scientific Research announced today the results of the second round (supplementary) examinations for the General Secondary Certificate (high school) students, in both the scientific and literary streams, for the academic year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the results announcement meeting, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Da'ais, congratulated the successful students and, through them, their parents. He highlighted the importance of the supplementary examinations, which come within the framework of the Ministry's commitment to the future of students who failed in up to two subjects in the literary stream or three subjects in the scientific stream, enabling successful students to pursue their university studies this year.
Dr. Al-Da'ais praised the efforts of those in charge of the examination process, foremost among them the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, the various examination committees, and everyone who contributed to its success. For his part, the Acting Deputy of the Curriculum and Educational Planning Sector, Hamid Ghathaya, reviewed the efforts made to ensure the success of the second round examinations, through the allocation of one examination center in each governorate center, in addition to the electronic examination center at Sana'a University, which was designated for students from the Capital Secretariat and Sana'a Governorate.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Deputy of the Curriculum and Educational Planning Sector, Abdul Latif Al-Mu'ayyad, explained that the success rate for students in the scientific stream is 92 percent, and 91 percent for students in the literary stream. He confirmed that students can obtain their results by calling the landline number "160" or by sending their seat number via SMS through the Yemen Mobile network to the same number.
The Director General of Examinations at the Ministry, Najeeb Al-Matari, also presented a detailed report on the examination process and the positive aspects of conducting it in one examination center per governorate center, despite the scarcity of available resources due to the repercussions of the continued aggression and siege.
