Sana'a: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has issued a warning regarding the ongoing aggression by the United States and Israel against countries in the region, including Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran. This aggression is seen as a threat to international peace and security, with potential negative impacts on the global economy.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ministry's statement highlighted the continued aggression by the Israeli entity on Gaza, which has persisted despite a ceasefire agreement reached on October 10 of the previous year. The ministry reported that the ongoing violence has resulted in the deaths of over 900 civilians and the injuries of more than 2,700 others, in clear violation of international humanitarian law and the ceasefire agreement.
The ministry reiterated Yemen's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing its commitment to backing the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people. Yemen stands firm in its support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed surprise at the continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon, noting recent attacks targeting areas around Beirut, as well as the cities of Tyre and Nabatieh. These actions are viewed as a serious escalation and a breach of Lebanese sovereignty, contravening international norms and laws.
The statement revealed that since March 2 of the previous year, Israeli aggression in Lebanon has led to the deaths of over 3,300 Lebanese and injured more than 10,000 individuals. The ministry emphasized that negotiations with the Israeli entity are seen as futile, and that resistance is the only option for reclaiming Lebanese rights.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Yemen's steadfast support for the Lebanese people and their resistance against ongoing aggression. Additionally, the ministry condemned the continued American aggression towards Iran and its destabilizing effects on regional stability and the global economy.
The statement also condemned recent threats by former US President Donald Trump against the Sultanate of Oman, describing them as evidence of an aggressive approach and a policy of arrogance by the United States in its international relations.
The ministry expressed Yemen's solidarity with Iran, affirming its right to self-defense and response to aggression, a right supported by international norms and laws.
