Muscat Stock Exchange Index Closes Down 0.50%

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX 30) index closed on Monday at 5,184.72 points, registering a decrease of 26 points, or 0.50 percent, from the previous session, which ended at 5,210.77 points.

According to Yemen News Agency, the total value of trades amounted to 38.78 million Omani rials, marking an increase of 9.2 percent compared to the previous session's 35.53 million rials. The daily report from the Muscat Stock Exchange highlighted a decline in market capitalization by 0.369 percent from the day before, bringing it to approximately 30.48 billion Omani rials.

Foreign investor activity on the exchange included purchases totaling 3.65 million rials, which accounted for 9.42 percent of the total trading value, and sales amounting to 3.49 million rials, or 8.99 percent. This resulted in a net foreign investment inflow of approximately 167,000 rials, representing 0.43 percent.
