Muscat Stock Exchange Index Closes Down by 0.59%

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 index closed today at 4,513.93 points, marking a decline of 26.6 points or 0.59% from the previous trading session, which had stood at 4,540.54 points.

According to Yemen News Agency, the trading value on the exchange reached OMR 11,238,468, showing a 35.3% decrease from the last session's value of OMR 17,360,211.

A report from the Muscat Stock Exchange highlighted a decrease in market capitalization by 0.011% from the last trading day, settling at approximately OMR 28.30 billion.

The value of purchases by non-Omani investors in the exchange amounted to OMR 566,000, which represented 5.03% of total trading. Conversely, the value of non-Omani sales reached OMR 1,609,000, accounting for 14.32% of the trading. Consequently, net foreign investment saw a decrease of OMR 1,044,000, equating to 9.29%.
