Muscat Stock Exchange Index Records Slight Decline

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index experienced a minor dip, closing at 8391.67 points on Tuesday. This marked a decrease of 6 points or 0.07 percent from the previous trading session's close of 8397.65 points.

According to Yemen News Agency, the trading value saw an increase, reaching 70,685,558 Omani rials, which is up by 0.3 percent compared to the prior session's value of 70,463,044 Omani rials. The daily report from the Muscat Stock Exchange highlighted a rise in market capitalization by 0.051 percent from the previous trading day, bringing it to approximately 38.55 billion Omani rials.

In terms of foreign investments, non-Omani purchases on the stock exchange amounted to 12 million and 144 thousand Omani riyals, accounting for 17.18 percent of the total trading. Meanwhile, non-Omani sales were slightly higher, amounting to 12 million and 149 thousand Omani riyals, constituting 17.19 percent. Consequently, the net non-Omani investment saw a decrease of 6 thousand Omani riyals, or 0.01 percent.
