Sa'ada: The Education Sector in Sa'ada governorate on Monday organized the First National Forum on Education under the slogan 'Education is Everyone's Responsibility.' The forum aimed to strengthen community partnerships in support of the educational process and unify official and community efforts to advance the education sector, improve learning outcomes, and promote a shared vision for inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable education based on active community participation.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants reviewed the state of education in the governorate and discussed key challenges facing the sector, including school infrastructure needs, student dropout rates, teacher training and qualification, the provision of educational resources, and other related issues. During the forum, attended by Shura Council member Hadi al-Hamzi, Deputy Minister of Education for Projects and Equipment Adel Hajar, and several local officials, Saada Education Sector Head Mohammed Al-Dawla outlined the forum's objectives and highlighted the major challenges confronting the educational process, as well as the role of various stakeholders in supporting education.
Al-Dawla emphasized that education is an integrated system that can only succeed through coordinated efforts and effective partnerships among government institutions, local communities, the private sector, and educational organizations. The forum also reviewed a matrix of proposed solutions to challenges related to teachers, declining student enrollment, and the financial and administrative difficulties affecting the education sector.
Discussions further addressed issues concerning infrastructure and school equipment, curricula, supervision and examinations, information systems and digital transformation, educational quality, and aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs. At the conclusion of the forum, participants approved the formation of a joint committee to study the challenges and proposed solutions, develop a strategic plan to address obstacles facing education, hold regular meetings with relevant stakeholders, and mobilize efforts to overcome the sector's challenges.
