Sana'a: The National Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases Control Program, in collaboration with the Tuberculosis Hospital and the Al-Jarda'a neighborhood in the Al-Sabeen district of Sana'a, organized a commemorative event to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, the event featured Dr. Ihab Al-Saqqaf, Director of the Program and Tuberculosis Hospital, who highlighted the significance of the Prophet's birthday as an occasion to renew devotion to the Prophet Muhammad. Dr. Al-Saqqaf emphasized the event as an opportunity to draw inspiration from the Prophet's life and to instill his values, principles, and ethics among the medical staff. He also addressed the pressing issues facing Gaza, underscoring Yemen's solidarity with the Palestinian cause in contrast to what he described as the Arab and Islamic world's abandonment.
Cultural activists Dr. Yousef Al-Hadhari and Akram Al-Amadi further stressed the importance of the commemoration for reflecting on the Prophet's noble life and fostering a sense of unity and brotherhood. They encouraged the revival of faith, righteousness, and virtuous morals, urging attendants to follow the Prophet's example in actions and words.
The evening gathered various directors general and program managers from the Ministry of Health, along with social figures and community leaders from the Al-Jarda'a neighborhood. The celebration included cultural performances such as songs and an operetta, highlighting the occasion's significance.
