Jabal al-mahweet: Engineer Mukhtar Al-Turki, representative of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Al-Mahweet governorate, inspected on Wednesday the progress of several community initiative projects related to the construction and improvement of service roads in the Al-Gharbi Al-Asfal and Al-Gharbi Al-A'la sub-districts of the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Turki and the Director of Jabal Al-Mahwit District, Khamash Habish, listened to explanations from community committees regarding the progress of the Al-Wakf-Jahrah-Aqrab, Al-Qarn Al-Riyadi, and Al-Ma'ras main road projects, including the implementation phases, completion rates, and challenges hindering progress.
During the visit, emphasis was placed on the necessity of addressing and completing the stalled projects, which will contribute to connecting villages and sub-districts, facilitating the movement of citizens, and serving agricultural and development activities.
The Turkish engineer praised the role of community initiatives in bolstering local development efforts and fostering effective partnerships between the community and official bodies. He commended the contributions of the district's residents and their volunteer efforts in completing priority service projects.
Meanwhile, the district director, Habish, considered community initiative projects a vital contributor to local development, improving service levels and alleviating citizens' suffering. He called for continued community cooperation to ensure the projects are completed according to the established plans.
