Sana’a: A meeting, chaired by Oil and Minerals Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, discussed aspects related to establishing a national company for geophysical surveys.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included a presentation from a study team consisting of geophysical survey experts and leaders of the units supervising the project. These units were represented by the Oil Exploration and Production Authority, the Yemeni Company for Oil and Mineral Investments, and the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority. The presentation covered the technical and economic details of the project.
The meeting emphasized the importance of establishing a national company specializing in geophysical surveys, highlighting its potential role in enhancing local capabilities in oil and gas exploration and the utilization of natural resources.
During the meeting, the Oil Minister stressed the project’s significance in developing the technical capabilities of Yemeni professionals and enhancing the likelihood of discovering new natural resources that could support the national economy.
The initiative to establish a national company for geophysical surveys marks an important step towards achieving sustainable development in this vital sector.
