New york: Oil prices settled at their lowest level in more than two months on Thursday, following a rise in US crude inventories and expectations from the International Energy Agency for a decline in demand.
According to Yemen News Agency, Brent crude futures fell 49 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $65.63 a barrel. During the session, crude prices dropped to $65.01 a barrel, marking the lowest levels since June 6.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also experienced a decline, falling 52 cents, or 0.8 percent, to $62.65 a barrel. At one point during the session, prices fell to $61.94 a barrel, the lowest level since June 2.
