Hodeidah: Olympic won the 'Our Martyrs, Our Greats' football championship in Al-Hawk District, Hodeidah Governorate, defeating Al-Majd Academy 3-1 in the final. The tournament was a significant event in the local sporting calendar, bringing together numerous teams in a competitive knockout format.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament was organized by local sports officials under the supervision of the Youth and Sports Office, featuring 32 teams. The event showcased the region's football talent and fostered community spirit.
Olympic was awarded the championship trophy, while Al-Majd Academy received the runners-up trophy. Santos Ghaleel was honored with the Fair Play trophy, highlighting the importance of sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Individual accolades were also distributed, with Olympic's Abu Hameed being named Best Player. His teammate, Aboud Makin, claimed the Top Scorer award, demonstrating outstanding offensive performance. Additionally, Santos Ghaleel's goalkeeper, Mounir Tarfa, was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper for his exceptional skills in guarding the net.
