Sana’a: The General Assembly of the Yemeni Olympic Committee approved a decision to freeze the membership of the Yemeni Football Association during its annual meeting. This meeting, conducted both in-person and electronically, was chaired by the Chairman of the Committee, Abdulrahman Al-Akwa. The decision was made by the Board of Directors of the Committee and was subsequently approved by the assembly.
According to Yemen News Agency, the General Assembly has given authorization to the Chairman of the Yemeni Olympic Committee to engage in dialogue with the Football Association. The aim is to prevent any escalation that could potentially harm the activities of Yemeni football. This includes maintaining the integrity of both internal activities and the performance of national teams.
