Opening of Charity Kitchens in Al-Tahrir and Al-Wahda Districts to Support Needy Families

Sanaa: Abdullatif Al-Omari, Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat for Local Authority Affairs, inaugurated a charitable kitchen in the Al-Buniya neighborhood of Tahrir District. This initiative, now in its eighth consecutive year, is supported by community contributions and philanthropists.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Omari, along with Naji Al-Shayani, the director of the directorate, and Abdullatif Al-Wali, the directorate’s public mobilization official, received a briefing from Abdulrahman Al-Baily, the kitchen’s official. The charitable kitchen aims to provide basic food to 2,000 needy families in the directorate by offering daily dinner meals throughout Ramadan.

In a parallel effort, Al-Wahda Directorate Director Sami Hamid initiated the charity kitchen organized by the Social Affairs Office within the directorate. During the inauguration, Hamid and several directorate leaders were briefed by Shahna Al-Nuami, the director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, on the kitchen’s operations. The charity kitchen in Al-Wahda aims to distribute 300 meals to impoverished families in the district.
