Sanaa: The President of Ibb University, Dr. Nasr Al-Hajili, inaugurated today the educational-production apiaries at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences - the first phase consisting of 20 beehives and laboratory equipment, funded by the University's own resources.
According to Yemen News Agency, the President of the University affirmed that this step represents a starting point for establishing an Educational-Production Apiary Center upon the completion of restoration and maintenance work for the beekeeping and honey production laboratories. This initiative is part of the University's strategy aimed at strengthening the role and status of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, raising the level of plant and animal production, and expanding beekeeping and honey production as a national product.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jamali, praised the support and care of the University President in providing the necessary needs to advance production levels and improve the quality of the educational process, both theoretically and practically.
The inauguration was attended by the Apiary Supervisor, Dr. Jamal Al-Shar'abi, the Director of Services, Abdulwahid Al-Sadah, and the Director of the Unit for the Development and Enhancement of Self-Resources, Yasser Saleh.
