Dhamar: The residents of Al-Manar district in Dhamar province organized an oratorical festival today on the occasion of Yawm al-Wilayah (Day of Guardianship) under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master."
According to Yemen News Agency, the festival was attended by notable figures including a member of the Shura Council, Abdulmalik Al-Bariq, the mobilization official in the province, Ahmed Al-Dawrani, and the director of the Tribal Affairs Authority branch in the province, Yahya Ghailan. The director of Al-Manar district, Mohammed Ja'ran, highlighted Yawm al-Wilayah as a significant faith-based milestone to renew the covenant and loyalty to God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him).
He emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the values of justice, truth, and courage embodied by Imam Ali (peace be upon him), noting that the large public turnout to celebrate the anniversary reflects the community's awareness, faith, and strong connection to the banners of guidance. This turnout embodies their status in the hearts of the district's residents.
The festival also saw participation from the local secretary of the district, Hammoud Saba', and the mobilization official of the district, Hamid Al-Qadi. Speeches during the event highlighted the significance of commemorating Yawm al-Wilayah for its faith-based meanings and implications that contribute to strengthening faith-based identity and consolidating the values of loyalty to God, His Messenger, and His friends, while following the example of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in both word and deed.
The event, attended by executive, local, and mobilization leaders, featured expressive poetic segments, further enriching the celebration.
