Sana’a: Palestine Maternity and Childhood Hospital in the capital is dedicated to providing round-the-clock medical, therapeutic, and diagnostic services to citizens.
According to Yemen News Agency, efforts by the hospital’s leadership and staff have resulted in a significant leap in medical service quality, with numerous development projects and expansions in various departments and specialties. This has led to an increase in citizens seeking the hospital’s services.
The hospital’s development operations align with directives from the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Construction, aiming to advance the health sector and improve patient care.
A report from the hospital highlighted that 342,221 cases benefited from its services in 2024. Outpatient clinics served 26,434 cases in consultations and various specialties, while 235,055 cases utilized laboratory tests and the blood bank. Additional services included emergency care, radiology, electrocardiography, and more.
The reproductive health and maternity department reported 5,795 natural births, with 4,220 surgeries conducted and 9,205 patients admitted for hospitalization. Vaccination services reached 22,376 children and 79 women, with nutrition and counseling clinics also providing significant care.
The report noted 106 twin births, including one triplet case, and 247 patients recovering after ventilator use. Director Dr. Nada al-Wajman emphasized the development projects in pediatric and women’s care, which have enhanced patient health care.
Dr. al-Wajman detailed new infrastructure and equipment investments, including a well, oxygen plant, and advanced surgical devices, contributing to improved patient care. She commended the hospital staff’s dedication to service excellence and overcoming operational challenges.
