Sana'a: The Parliament Presidium, in its meeting held on Saturday under the chairmanship of the Parliament Speaker and Head of the Presidium, Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, reviewed the latest developments and their repercussions on the national and regional arenas. The Presidium affirmed its support and endorsement of the speech delivered by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in which he addressed Yemen's steadfast positions on the issues and sanctities of the nation.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Presidium renewed its affirmation of the firmness of Yemen's position in confronting the American-Israeli aggression aimed at implementing the Zionist project and targeting the peoples of the Islamic nation, including the aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Presidium called for the unity of the nation and adherence to its established values and principles to confront tyranny, injustice, and global arrogance that the United States seeks to impose by force on the countries and peoples of the free world.
It condemned the silence of the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, and their affiliated international and regional bodies, as well as their policy of turning a blind eye and applying double standards toward the crimes, massacres, and attacks committed by the Israeli occupation entity with American support and participation against the countries, resources, and peoples of the region, posing a threat to regional and international peace and security.
The Presidium also denounced the shameful and disgraceful Arab and Islamic inaction regarding the aggression faced by the Islamic Republic of Iran due to its supportive stance toward the Palestinian people, as well as the violations suffered by the brotherly peoples of Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq against their sovereignty. It praised the steadfastness of the Yemeni people on National Resilience Day, marking the 11th anniversary of the US-Saudi aggression against Yemen, stressing the importance of raising awareness, maintaining high readiness, and strengthening national resilience.
The Presidium pointed to the crimes, massacres, and attacks committed over the past 11 years by the coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with American and British support and participation, along with the looting of oil wealth that had been relied upon for paying salaries and improving services. It commended the military capabilities and courageous stance of the Yemeni Armed Forces, affirming its support for their statement, which reflects the directions of the revolutionary and political leadership and the honorable stance of the Yemeni people.
The Presidium stressed the need for the immediate cessation of aggression against Muslim countries in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq, the lifting of the unjust blockade on Yemen, the implementation of the Gaza agreement, and the fulfillment of its humanitarian and legitimate obligations toward the Palestinian people. It urged that the warnings of the Yemeni Armed Forces be taken seriously, including any involvement in alliances with the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of jihad and resistance, or the use of the Red Sea to carry out hostile operations.
The Presidium called on all to raise vigilance and caution to thwart the Zionist project, deny enemies the opportunity to achieve their objectives, and refute their allegations, reiterating the Iranian people's right to defend their country and resources against the Israeli-American aggression. During its meeting, the Presidium also discussed items on its agenda related to the Council's legislative and oversight roles, including matters concerning the performance of the General Secretariat, and took appropriate decisions.
It stressed the importance of collective efforts to address the damages caused by heavy rains and floods affecting several Yemeni governorates. The Presidium warned citizens of the dangers of moving through valleys and flood channels to preserve lives and property, including in the western coastal areas and Hadramout, which have witnessed heavy rainfall leading to floods that swept away a number of citizens and their vehicles.
Finally, the Presidium expressed its sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the families of the victims, praying that Allah Almighty grant the deceased His vast mercy, admit them into His spacious paradise, and grant their families patience and solace. 'Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.'
