Sana'a: Parliament speaker Yahya al-Ra'i, accompanied by MP Yahya al-Harjooj and Deputy Secretary-General Abdulrahman al-Mansour, visited New Generation University in Sana'a on Wednesday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the delegation toured laboratories and facilities in the medical, engineering, IT, administrative, and humanities colleges. They received briefings from University Board Chairman Dr. Mohammed Al-Ansi and President Dr. Hamdan Al-Shami on academic programs and modern laboratory equipment.
Al-Ra'i praised the university's infrastructure and stressed the importance of applying academic quality and accreditation standards. He noted that such institutions reflect Yemenis' resilience in overcoming the impacts of blockade and aggression, commending the private sector's role in supporting education and development.
Higher Education official Dr. Ibrahim Loqman highlighted ongoing institutional development in higher education and the importance of investment in the sector to build future generations.
