Sana'a: The Defense and Security Committee and the Services Committee in the House of Representatives convened two significant meetings with government representatives to evaluate the progress of the government's general program and address the parliament's recommendations.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Defense and Security Committee, led by Major General Mohammed Al-Hawri, engaged with Assistant Defense Minister for Human Resources Major General Ali Al-Kahlani and other specialists to assess the Ministry of Defense's adherence to the "Change and Construction" program. The committee acknowledged the military's efforts in enhancing the armed forces and advancing military manufacturing, applauding the ministry's performance in fulfilling its responsibilities.
The committee called for increased efforts to bolster readiness against the Zionist threat and effectively counter its strategies. Additionally, it recognized the operations conducted by the Yemeni armed forces in support of Gaza.
Simultaneously, the Services Committee, chaired by Ali Al-Kaboudi, met with Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Dr. Ali Saif, his deputy Adel Badr, and various ministry officials to discuss policy implementation within the ministry and its related institutions under the government's program. The committee emphasized the necessity of providing detailed, timed executive plans for all sectors under the ministry's oversight.
Discussions also revolved around reviewing government service fees based on actual expenses, with a focus on implementing urgent measures to reduce the financial burden on citizens by decreasing water, sanitation, and electricity bills.
