Parliament’s Speaker Chairs Joint Meeting on Legislative and Oversight Tasks

Sanaa: A joint meeting of the presidium of the parliament and the permanent committees of the parliament, headed by the Speaker of the parliament of Representatives, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, discussed topics related to the tasks of the House of Representatives in the legislative and oversight aspects.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included the heads and rapporteurs of the permanent committees of the parliament, stressed the importance of doubling efforts to keep pace with the requirements of the stage of change and construction. Priority in the current stage is being given to important issues, with an emphasis on translating the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council into practical reality. This approach aims to address the imbalances and shortcomings in the performance of services, facilities, and institutions.

The meeting appreciated the efforts made by the security services in maintaining security and stability and enhancing public tranquility. It urged further efforts to facilitate procedures and transactions for citizens in the capital and governorates, aligning with their aspirations from the stage of change and construction.

The meeting was attended by Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives Abdullah Al Qasimi and Assistant Secretary-General of the Council Abdulrahman Al Mansour.
