Sana'a: The Shabab Ibb football team achieved a massive victory over its guest Shaqra of Abyan with six goals to none in the match that brought them together today at the Ibb Sports Stadium as part of the Republic Cup football tournament for the 2025-2026 season.

According to Yemen News Agency, the match saw a large crowd attendance from Shabab Ibb fans who imposed their control over the game from the first minutes and succeeded in ending the first half leading by three clean goals. Mohamed Naji opened the scoring for Shabab Ibb in the 14th minute before Ayman Al Rawai added the second goal three minutes later, while Saleh Shahra strengthened his team's lead with the third goal in the 35th minute.

In the events of the second half, Shabab Ibb continued their field and offensive superiority as Saleh Shahra returned to add the fourth goal in the 52nd minute, while Hussein Al Qaderi scored the fifth goal from a penalty kick, and Abdullah Awla concluded the goal festival by scoring the sixth goal, ending the match with a deserved victory for Shabab Ibb and their qualification to the next round of the tournament.

The match was officiated by a refereeing team led by referee Mohamed Jamal, assisted by Ahmed Qatban and Ahmed Qasim, with Ali Al Mubaied as the fourth referee. The match was monitored by Amin Ghayath representing the General Football Federation, and Abdulkarim Farhan and Adel Omar as technical observers from the Football Federation branch in Ibb Governorate.

The tournament, which began on April 23 after a 12-year hiatus, features 64 teams from first and second division clubs and third division champions from various governorates.
