Sana'a: Prime Minister Ahmad al-Rahawi attended the opening of the 12th training program for road engineers, organized by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works through the Road Maintenance Fund.
According to Yemen News Agency, the five-day program targets engineers from the Road Maintenance Fund, the Public Corporation for Roads and Bridges, and local authorities. The training focuses on pavement design, maintenance, defect diagnosis, and pavement management systems.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister stressed the strategic importance of road infrastructure, calling for adherence to technical standards to ensure durability. He emphasized prioritizing high-traffic roads and selecting qualified companies to ensure quality execution.
Al-Rahawi also urged the removal of unnecessary speed bumps and encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained to improve road maintenance across their respective regions.
