Sana'a: An expanded meeting in the capital Sana'a reviewed organizational and technical preparations for transporting pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj season, focusing on improving coordination and service delivery.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Hajj and Umrah Sector of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, in coordination with the General Authority for Land Transport Regulation, held a meeting with pilgrimage transport companies and agencies to discuss preparations for Hajj 1447 AH. The meeting focused on ensuring smooth and efficient movement of pilgrims, improving service quality, and strengthening coordination among relevant bodies.
Officials emphasized adherence to regulations, including electronic registration of pilgrims, verification of data, issuance of permits, and compliance with designated transport stations. They also stressed the importance of technical inspection of buses and obtaining official clearance before each trip.
Authorities announced enhanced monitoring mechanisms, including field inspection teams, evaluation systems for performance, and strict measures against violations to ensure discipline during the season. Transport officials said daily trip schedules will be organized and allocated fairly among agencies to avoid congestion and delays, while lessons from previous seasons will be used to improve performance.
Participants agreed on the need for stronger coordination and timely execution of procedures to ensure a smooth and orderly pilgrimage transport process.
