Dhamar: A comprehensive meeting was held on Tuesday in Jahran District, Dhamar Governorate, chaired by Governor Mohammed Al-Bakheeti, to discuss preparations for celebrating the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by local and executive authorities, mobilization leaders, and district sheikhs and dignitaries. The focus was on the importance of the Prophet's birthday in honoring the Messenger and his pivotal role in spreading the divine message, guiding humanity, and saving it.
Governor Al-Bakheeti highlighted the unique way Yemenis celebrate the Prophet's birth and their deep connection with him. He emphasized that the nation's well-being is tied to following the Prophet's teachings and increasing societal awareness to counter misguided beliefs about the celebration.
He encouraged drawing lessons from the Prophet's life, promoting acts of charity, fostering community solidarity, and embodying the Prophet's virtues. He urged everyone to participate actively in the main celebration on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
Meanwhile, Jahran District Director Hashem Al-Warith confirmed the residents' enthusiasm and engagement in the festivities. He outlined the planned events and activities, stressing the importance of organizing diverse celebrations that reflect joy and unity, ensuring the success of the preparatory events, and strengthening mobilization efforts for the central celebration.
