Sana'a: President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi Al-Mashat on Wednesday sent a cable of condolences on the death of Major General Hussein Mohammed Al-Maswari, a member of the Shura Council, at the age of 84, after a life dedicated to serving his country.
According to Yemen News Agency, in his message of condolence to the deceased's family members, Al-Mashat praised the virtues of the late Major General and his national and community contributions, as well as his distinguished military and political career.
He noted that Major General Al-Maswari held numerous leadership positions, most notably as Chief of the General Staff, Governor of the Capital Governorate, and Ambassador to several countries, representing Yemen, before his appointment to the Shura Council.
President Al-Mashat expressed his sincere condolences to the sons of the deceased, the family members, and all Al-Masouri family on this tragedy, asking Allah Almighty to have mercy on him and forgive him, to grant him a place in Paradise, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace.
