Sana'a: President of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, extended his congratulations to the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, President Al-Mashat conveyed his wishes for the leaders' continued health and happiness, as well as progress and prosperity for their peoples. He encouraged the leaders to embrace the values of sacrifice, generosity, and submission to Almighty Allah, which are reflective of Islamic principles and faith-based identity.
President Al-Mashat remarked that the Eid arrives amid challenging circumstances, marked by what he described as brutal Zionist and American aggression targeting Islamic communities, particularly the Palestinian, Lebanese, Iraqi, and Iranian peoples. He urged Arab and Islamic leaders to unite and resist the tyranny practiced by the Zionist entity with the backing of the "Great American Satan," which he claims is designed to fracture the unity and seize the resources of the Arab and Islamic nations.
He stressed the necessity of taking strong action against crimes and violations directed at the Islamic nation, including insults to the Holy Quran and desecration of Islamic sanctities. He emphasized that the ongoing aggression would impact all if the Arab and Islamic nations remain passive and called for strengthening Islamic brotherhood and solidarity in the defense of land, dignity, and holy sites.
In his message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Al-Mashat underscored the occasion's importance, highlighting values of Islamic brotherhood and unity. He reiterated Yemen's steadfast support for Iran and the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq in confronting forces of arrogance and domination.
President Al-Mashat lauded Iran's resilience against foreign pressures, describing it as a testament to honor and national sovereignty. He concluded his message with prayers for the Arab and Islamic nations to achieve victory over oppressors.
