Sana’a: President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Monday sent a congratulatory cable to President Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution. The message highlighted the significant impact of the revolution and expressed solidarity with Iran against foreign pressures.
According to Yemen News Agency, the congratulatory message emphasized the historic nature of the Iranian Revolution under the leadership of Imam Khomeini. It recognized the revolution as a pivotal event that restored Iran’s regional and international stature, contributing to the prominence of the Palestinian cause. The message also acknowledged Iran’s support for resistance movements in Palestine and Lebanon.
President al-Mashat expressed full solidarity with Iran in facing what he described as Zionist-American hegemony, criticizing the sanctions imposed on Iran. He reiterated the importance of Iran as a model for peoples striving for freedom and independence from foreign dominance.
