Bani makram: The Presidential Committee inaugurated celebratory and cultural activities marking the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) birthday in Bani Makram, Hamdan District, Sana'a Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Deputy Director of the Presidency Office Fahd Al-Azzi, Member of Parliament Muhammad Al-Hawri, Head of the Cultural and Media Affairs Department at the Presidency Office Zaid Al-Gharsi, Sana'a Governorate Deputies Atef Al-Mosalli and Muhammad Ayedh, and Hamdan District Director Fahd Atiyah.
Cultural activist Yahya Abu Awadah explained that the inauguration of these celebrations and cultural activities is part of preparations for the central event commemorating the Prophet's birthday, which will take place on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal at Al-Sabeen Square. He noted that celebrations held in the hamlets and villages of Hamdan District, including Bani Makram, are distinguished by the significance of the location-Hamdan being the tribe where the Prophet (peace be upon him) prostrated in gratitude upon learning of their conversion to Islam.
Abu Awadah emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday serves to recall key moments from his life and to return to his noble biography for lessons and guidance. He also addressed the conspiracies being plotted by the enemies of the Islamic nation, led by the arrogant powers, urging the peoples and nations of the Arab and Islamic world to resist these schemes, overcome divisions, and unite.
Abu Awadah highlighted that, following the 21 September revolution, the Yemeni people have overcome internal divisions and united across all factions and sects to confront the aggressors and global arrogant powers. He further praised the honorable stance of the revolutionary leadership in supporting the people of Gaza, which has positioned Yemen at the forefront of Arab and Islamic nations in confronting the enemies of the Ummah.
The event, attended by local dignitaries, sheikhs, and executive and military leaders, included remarks by Sheikh Muhammad Al-Asadi on behalf of the residents of Bani Makram, welcoming the Presidential Committee and its participation in celebrating the Prophet's birthday with the people of Hamdan. He affirmed the residents' eagerness to engage in the celebrations and participate in the central event to be held at Al-Sabeen Square.
