Al hodeidah: The Prophet's Greatest Football Tournament for clubs began this afternoon in Beit Al Faqih District, Al Hodeidah Governorate, as part of the celebrations for the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad for 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament is organized by the district's Youth and Sports Office and features five local clubs competing in a single round-robin group. The opening match saw Shabab Al-Halaj triumph over Al-Fawz with a score of 2-1 at the district stadium.
The organizing committee stated that the tournament aims to engage young people in sports and strengthen their connection to the Prophet's birth anniversary. Furthermore, the event seeks to promote Islamic identity, highlight the Prophet's example, and raise awareness of foreign cultural influences targeting youth.
