Dhamar: The Prophet's Birthday football tournament officially began on Tuesday in Dhamar district, organized by the District Youth and Sports Office with support from the Youth Welfare Fund and supervision from the provincial office.
According to Yemen News Agency, the tournament features 22 teams in the junior and youth categories. In the opening matches, al-Sharara defeated al-Nujoom 2-0, and al-Yemeni beat al-Badai 4-0. Competitions for the youth category will continue tomorrow with two matches. The players underwent age verification by the appointed committee.
