Sanaa:Sa'ada: The Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled in Sa'ada province has initiated the distribution of prosthetic devices and hearing aids to individuals with disabilities for the year 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the distribution includes electric scooters, various types of wheelchairs, and hearing aids, funded by the Fund's headquarters and the local governorate authority at a total cost of 42 million Riyals.
During the launch event, attended by Shura Council member Hadi Al-Hamzi, Saleh Aqab, Sa'ada's Undersecretary for Services Affairs, commended the Sa'ada branch's efforts in providing essential devices to the disabled community. He stressed the necessity of collaborative efforts to support and fulfill the needs of this group to ease their hardships.
The event also saw the presence of Adel Al-Yousefi, Director of the Fund's Sa'ada branch, and Sultan Rashid, Director of the Social Affairs Office. A statement from the Fund highlighted its continuous health and educational services, along with medical supply distributions throughout the year, aiming to extend these services across all districts to facilitate access for individuals with special needs.
Additionally, the Fund urged various entities to collaborate in mitigating the challenges faced by people with disabilities, advocating for training, rehabilitation, and empowerment services to integrate them into society as effective and productive members.
