Sanaa:A meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Roads and Bridges Corporation, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami, was held to review the corporation's project portfolio under the Ministry of Transport and Public Works plan for 1448 AH, as approved by the Planning Sector at the Prime Minister's Office.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by the corporation's Vice Chairman, Eng. Amir al-Din al-Houthi, focused on the monthly monitoring report, project execution matrices, and implementation schedules tailored to each project for the current Hijri year.
The participants examined execution timelines and procedural requirements and discussed plans to establish a strategic knowledge platform for the corporation. They also addressed a memorandum from the Supreme Authority for Science, Technology, and Innovation concerning the national research roadmap and the utilization of Yemen's hydrological studies.
Furthermore, the meeting evaluated a comprehensive performance report detailing the corporation's achievements from September 2014 through September 2026. The 1448 AH plan includes ten major projects valued at YER 1.025 billion.
Key initiatives in the plan entail procuring, supplying, and refurbishing 120 heavy machinery units to overhaul the corporation's fleet, modernizing and automating 22 operational systems, and implementing cultural, faith-identity, and general mobilization programs under the Ministry of Transport and Public Works. Additionally, the plan mandates "Open Day" public access initiatives, streamlining transaction processing, and enforcing professional codes of conduct across all departments.
