Gaza Strip: Today, Thursday, the Palestinian resistance handed over three Zionist prisoners to the Red Cross, marking the third batch of the first phase of the Al-Aqsa Flood prisoner exchange deal, along with five Thai workers. The handover took place in two key locations, north and south of the Gaza Strip, in front of the residence of martyr leader Yahya Sinwar in Khan Yunis. During the event, flags of the resistance were prominently displayed.
According to Yemen News Agency, the occasion was marked by Palestinians raising images of martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, and other resistance leaders spanning from Lebanon to Yemen. In a detailed account, the Palestinian resistance handed over prisoner Agam Berger to the Red Cross amidst the ruins of demolished houses in Jabalia, located in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The Zionist military acknowledged the receipt of Berger.
The resistance facilitated the handover of prisoners Arbil Yehud and Jadi Moses in front of the home of martyr Sinwar in Khan Younis, along with the five Thai prisoners. Abu Ataya, spokesperson for the Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, stated that their brigades, in collaboration with the Qassam Brigades and the Al-Quds Brigades, conducted the handover operation at the site of Sinwar’s residence, with participation from the Mujahideen Brigades as well, as announced by their spokesperson, Abu Bilal.
A military parade by the military wings of Palestinian resistance factions took place in Khan Younis before the prisoners were handed over, drawing significant popular attendance. Just prior to the handover of prisoners Yehud and Moses at the Sinwar residence, the Al-Quds Brigades’ war media released footage of the preparations for the operation.
As part of the exchange deal, the Zionist side will release 110 Palestinian prisoners from its facilities today, as stated in the ceasefire agreement. This information was shared by the Palestinian Prisoners Club on Wednesday. The club detailed that 32 of the prisoners to be released are serving life sentences, 48 have different prison terms, and 30 are minors.
The freed prisoners are anticipated to reach Ramallah around noon (10:00 GMT), with 20 of them facing deportation, consistent with past releases, as noted by the Prisoners Club. The Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs Authority highlighted that Zakaria al-Zubaidi, a leader of the Freedom Tunnel operation, is among those to be released, although enemy media reported that al-Zubaidi will be deported from Jenin camp.
