Ibb: The local authority and several sectoral offices in Ibb Governorate convened a Ramadan gathering aimed at bolstering the faith identity and Quranic culture. The meeting, orchestrated by various offices including culture, tourism, transportation, public works, and others, was led by Governor Abdul Wahid Salah.
According to Yemen News Agency, the gathering delved into mechanisms for aligning with the revolutionary and political leadership’s directives. A key focus was the commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance efforts. The assembly, attended by figures such as Member of Parliament Dr. Ali Al-Zanm and governorate representatives, also evaluated the benefits of the investment law, emphasizing its role in invigorating investment activities and offering facilities to investors across different sectors.
Discussions included strategies to activate tourism and investment initiatives within the governorate, thereby enhancing its stature as a tourism capital and strengthening the national economy. Participants underscored the importance of fostering community initiatives to provide essential services and meet citizens’ basic needs.
Governor Salah commended the revolutionary leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi for his unwavering support for Palestine, affirming Ibb’s solidarity with the revolutionary leadership and readiness to explore all options to aid the Palestinian cause. He highlighted Ramadan as a month of mobilization and support for Palestine, urging strengthened community participation in governmental service projects and local development.
Salah also spotlighted promising investment opportunities in tourism, reiterating the local authority’s commitment to facilitating investor benefits. He emphasized the necessity for government offices to bolster steadfastness and execute their designated plans and programs, particularly those enhancing living conditions.
The governor detailed significant service sector achievements, especially in road infrastructure, accomplished with help from the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council amid economic challenges. He directed the Public Works Office to enforce building regulations and the Economy and Industry Office to control pricing and food violations.
Governor Salah highlighted the critical role of community leaders, social figures, and businessmen in addressing community issues and called for contributions to charitable initiatives for the needy. He urged merchants and officials to pay zakat to the Zakat Authority for its proper allocation.
The gathering, attended by directors of various offices, merchants, neighborhood leaders, and civil society representatives, included discussions on improving the general situation and enhancing service office performance.
