Khawlan: The local authority in Khawlan district, Sana’a province, received a significant water project for the village of Mughizwein in Al-Hosn Bani Shaddad district. This project emerged from a community initiative supported by the local authority, represented by the General Department of Initiatives.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project was implemented by the Eastern Sector Association under the supervision of the Rural Water Authority and the province’s Initiatives Department. It features a 230-meter deep well and includes the supply, transportation, installation, and operation of a solar pumping unit. The total cost of the project amounts to 35 million and 474 thousand riyals, with 10 million and 33 thousand riyals provided by the local authority and 25 million and 441 thousand riyals contributed by the community.
During the project’s receipt, Raad Al-Jamili, the director of the directorate, and Abd Rabbo Qatra, the local secretary of the directorate, lauded the local authority’s support and commitment to easing the citizens’ hardships. They highlighted the community’s initiative and the collaborative efforts of the Department of Initiatives, Rural Water, and the Eastern Sector Association in realizing the project.
They noted that numerous water projects have been completed in the eastern sector’s districts over the past year, particularly in remote areas facing clean drinking water scarcity.
The residents of the region expressed their gratitude for the revolutionary and political leadership’s dedication, along with the province leadership’s support, in addressing the citizens’ challenges and facilitating the execution of various service projects in roads and water.
