Rehabilitation & Reform Authority Concludes Training Workshop for Financial & Supply Directors

Sanaa: The Rehabilitation and Reform Authority at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights concluded on Sunday a specialized training workshop for directors of financial, supply, and warehouse affairs at central correctional facilities and detention centers.

According to Yemen News Agency, Assistant Minister of Finance Walid Fayeq stated that the three-day workshop, attended by 58 financial and supply directors, is part of the Authority's programs to train and develop its staff and branches in financial management. He highlighted the importance of the workshop's topics, including budget estimation and execution, and emphasized all financial aspects, noting the Authority leadership's efforts to enhance human capacities at both the central office and branches.

The Authority's Director General, Major General Ismail Al-Muayyad, explained that the workshop aimed to strengthen financial, supply, and warehouse organization, training staff on scientific and professional principles. He stressed the importance of applying practical programs to rationalize spending and improve performance.

The Authority's Deputy Director, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Farran, urged participants to implement what they learned during the workshop and to improve coordination among financial, supply, and warehouse departments to serve inmates, while adhering to oversight and transparency.

Finance Director Ahmed Sari emphasized organizing expenditures and rationalizing resources, while Supply and Provision Director Colonel Abdulmalik Kamel highlighted the importance of maintaining stock quality and distributing supplies according to plan.

Accounts Director Salah Wajih Al-Din noted that operations will follow financial budgets and supply and storage plans, while Deputy Director of Human Resources Colonel Abdullah Al-Houri stressed the need for integrity and responsibility in spending funds allocated for inmates.

Participants affirmed their commitment to applying what they learned on the ground, appreciating the Authority leadership's attention to training, development, and all initiatives that contribute to improving performance.
