Sana'a: The Iraq Stock Exchange announced on Sunday that more than 37 billion shares, valued at more than 28 billion Iraqi dinars, were traded last September. A report issued by the market indicated that 21 trading sessions were held last month, with 76 joint-stock companies out of 104 companies listed on the market. According to Yemen News Agency, the report added that the number of traded shares reached 37 billion and 238 million shares, with a value of 28 billion and 97 million and 479 thousand Iraqi dinars, through 16,903 transactions. The report indicated that the ISX60 index closed at 963.39 points. It is worth noting that the Iraq Stock Exchange holds five trading sessions weekly and lists 104 Iraqi joint-stock companies representing the banking, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism, and hotels sectors.
