Role of Yemeni Red Crescent in Ibb Discussed

Sana'a: Governor of Ibb Abdulwahid Salah met on Monday with Secretary-General of the Yemeni Red Crescent Dr. Fouad al-Makhdhin to discuss the role of the Red Crescent branch in the governorate during disasters. The meeting included directors of the Red Crescent branches in Ibb and Hajjah, Dr. Abu al-Tayeb al-Mutawakil and Dr. Ahmed Nassar, and focused on reviewing the upcoming work plan for the Red Crescent in the governorate. They explored ways to support the local authority in implementing its activities and programs.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Salah praised the humanitarian role played by the Yemeni Red Crescent in Ibb, particularly during natural disasters and humanitarian crises. He emphasized that these efforts significantly alleviate the suffering of citizens and strengthen the community's capacity to face challenges. He affirmed the local authority's commitment to supporting all programs and activities of the Yemeni Red Crescent in the governorate and facilitating its humanitarian tasks.

Salah stressed the importance of joint coordination to enhance rapid response during emergencies and to implement the Red Crescent's plans for the upcoming period. This collaboration aims to achieve the desired humanitarian and developmental goals.
