Moscow: The Russian government anticipates a rise in the country's oil and gas revenues, projecting an increase to $251.2 billion by the year 2028.

According to Yemen News Agency, a report from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development outlines forecasts for the nation's oil and gas sector. The report highlights an anticipated decline in revenues by 12.5% in 2025 compared to 2024, with figures expected to hit $206.1 billion.

The projections suggest a subsequent growth in revenues, reaching $215.2 billion in 2026, $227.5 billion in 2027, and eventually $251.2 billion in 2028. The report considers potential external pressures, including increased sanctions on Russia's fuel and energy sector, as well as global economic imbalances driven by trade wars. These factors are expected to slow global oil demand growth while non-OPEC+ countries continue to expand their supply, impacting global balances and prices.
