Sa'ada: The Sa'ada governorate Office of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, in collaboration with the Scholars' Unit, organized a cultural event to commemorate the anniversary of the al-Sarkha slogan against perceived arrogant powers. The event, themed "The Slogan: Principles and Objectives," was held on Monday and was attended by notable figures including Sa'ada governor Muhammad Awad, Sa'ada undersecretary Muammar al-Dhari, and Chief Justice of the Court of Appeals, Judge Sulaiman al-Shamiri.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor for Media and Culture, Ali al-Dhahiri, highlighted the origins of the Quranic project initiated by Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, which adopted the "al-Sarkha" slogan. Al-Dhahiri discussed the boycott of American and Israeli goods as a stance against American influence in the region. He also addressed the conspiracies perceived to be against Yemen and the leader's movement to counter these challenges through the Quranic revivalist project.
Al-Dhahiri emphasized the significance of commemorating this anniversary as it reinforces concepts of pride and dignity and rejects subjugation. He stressed the importance of strengthening the unity within Yemen to resist efforts that target the nation's religious, cultural, and political independence.
Sheikh Muhammad al-Hadi, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, spoke on the Quranic project's role in addressing threats to the Islamic nation. He depicted the project as a tool for raising awareness and directing focus towards "global Zionism." Al-Hadi urged for a multi-faceted approach-cultural, military, and economic-to challenge what he described as the American-Zionist project, and advocated for practical actions such as raising slogans and economic boycotts to confront perceived adversaries.
