Sa’ada Governor Inspects Progress of Damaj – Al Salim Road Project

Sa'ada: The Governor of Sa'ada, Mohammed Jaber Awadh, along with the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Mohammed Al-Amad, inspected the progress of the first phase of the Damaj - Al Salim road construction and paving project. The 20-kilometer-long project, being implemented by the Public Works and Roads Authority at a cost of two billion riyals, is funded by the Road Maintenance Fund.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Awadh was accompanied by the Director of Security, Brigadier Tariq Al-Karbi, the Director-General of the Roads and Bridges Authority branch, Abdul Salam Al-Sharif, and the Head of the Works Sector, Engineer Ahsan Al-Qahm. The officials reviewed the ongoing road construction, which stretches from Damaj, passing through Wadi'a areas, to Al Salim district, and assessed the completion rate.

Governor Awadh emphasized the project's importance in alleviating hardships faced by citizens due to the rugged terrain when traveling from their areas to the provincial center.

The Governor and the Secretary-General urged those overseeing the project to adhere to engineering specifications, stressing the local leadership's commitment to supporting the efforts of the Authority and the Fund in implementing service projects that meet citizens' needs and reduce their suffering.
