General

Sa'ada: The local authority in Sa'ada Governorate today condemned the crime committed by the US aggression, which targeted the shelter for African immigrants in the Correctional Facility in Sa'ada city.

According to Yemen News Agency, the local authority stated in a statement that the targeting of the shelter center, under the supervision of the International Organization for Migration and the International Committee of the Red Cross, resulted in the death of 68 people and injuries to 47 others, constituting a deliberate and fully-fledged war crime.

The statement emphasized that these acts are violations of international laws and human rights conventions and are part of America's history of crimes and violations against the Yemeni people.

The statement also pointed out that the targeting of homes, markets, cemeteries, prisons, and civilian facilities by the American forces reveals their animosity toward the Yemeni people for their support of the Palestinian cause.

The local authority called on the United Nations, the UN Security Council, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to denounce the American actions against the Yemeni populace.

The statement held the US accountable, both legally and morally, for targeting civilians and civilian infrastructures.
