Sa'ada: Sa'ada Security Department on Monday organized a speech event to commemorate al-Wilayah Day, marking the guardianship of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, and the anniversary of the passing of religious scholar Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Abdulmajeed al-Mortada spoke about the significance of the concept of Wilayah, describing it as a central religious principle and warning against what he characterized as attempts to dilute its meaning.

Speakers at the event highlighted the legacy of Badr al-Din al-Houthi and emphasized the importance of moral values, religious commitment, and leadership in shaping society. They discussed the role of religious occasions in strengthening awareness and community cohesion.

The event concluded with remarks linking the concept of al-Wilayah to contemporary political and regional developments, with speakers praising what they described as the achievements and resilience of the resistance movements in the region.
