Sa'ada: The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sa'ada University, in collaboration with the University Student Forum, organized a speech event on Wednesday to commemorate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was graced by the presence of Province Undersecretary Mohammed Al-Baadani and University Vice Rector Dr. Hassan Muawad. Province Undersecretary Saleh Aqab addressed the gathering, emphasizing the critical role played by medical students and staff in countering the complex challenges faced by the Muslim nation. He highlighted the importance of drawing lessons from the life of the Prophet to strengthen ties with the Messenger of Allah and to embody his teachings and values in daily life. Aqab described the Prophet as a beacon of guidance who led the nation from darkness to enlightenment, emphasizing that true dignity and strength can be achieved only through a sincere return to the Holy Quran and adherence to the Muhammadan principles.
Dr. Muawad reiterated the significant role expected of young leaders and students in elevating the nation's consciousness and aiding its progress among developed countries. He spoke about the conflicts waged by adversaries against Muslim communities and their attempts to alienate Muslim youth from the Prophet's teachings and sources of guidance.
In addition, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Hassan Al-Mahbashi, asserted that love for the Prophet extends beyond mere words and should be evident in one's actions and behavior. He encouraged university students and staff to actively engage in events and activities celebrating the Prophet's Birthday and to attend the central celebration scheduled for 12 Rabi' al-Awwal.
